Athena is a a registered clinical psychologist with the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology. She is professionally trained in administering psychological assessments, conducting psychotherapy and community mental health programs. She has training and experience of working with clients from different cultural and religious backgrounds and work with clients irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or race. She has experience of working in acute and community settings and am skilled in a number of therapeutic orientations including, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Existential Therapy. Prior to be full time in SOLS Health, Athena was working with children and teenagers for 7 years in Klang Valley where she provided a range of supports including academic assistance, families and parenting-related concerns. Athena is passionate about providing psychological services to improve the lives of special needs children and their families. Athena is experienced in running assessments and working with children or adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities.
